PRIVATE LACTATION CONSULTANT PACKAGES:
All Lactation Consultant Services will be provided in the Client's Home,
unless other arrangements are made.
The Total Package:
All the support you will need to set yourself up for successful breastfeeding
BEFORE and AFTER baby arrives!
Includes:
- Private prenatal breastfeeding session (approx. 1-2h) – Breastfeeding education and initial assessment/consultation.
- Breastfeeding visits on postpartum days 1, 3, 5, and 7 (approx. 30min-2h as needed) – Reassessment, further teaching and recommendations
- Phone consultations as needed in between visits
The Full Package:
You’ve just realized that breastfeeding is not going as smoothly as you had hoped and need to call in the reinforcements!
Includes:
- Initial Breastfeeding home visit (2+ hours) - Full initial assessment, teaching, and recommendations
- Follow-Up Breastfeeding visit (approx. 1h) – Reassessment, further teaching and recommendations
- Phone consultations as needed in between visits
The Second Opinion:
If you are being closely followed by another health professional (i.e. Midwife, Physician, or Public Health Nurse), and you really want a second opinion or need more information, this is for you.
Includes:
- Breastfeeding visit (approx. 2+ hours) - Full initial assessment, teaching, and recommendations
- Report of our visit sent to the primary health professional and copy for client.
Additional Visits:
For clients previously seen and assessed in a breastfeeding visit, more visits are available on request at any time during their breastfeeding period with the same baby.

Classes:
Breastfeeding ABCs - Prenatal Breastfeeding Class
A great way to learn everything you need to get a successful start at breastfeeding, this class will be very discussion oriented and purpose to answer any questions you have. Please bring your spouse/partner or other support person.
Includes:
- A 2 hour Breastfeeding education session in a group setting.
- We will learn latch & positioning and the normal course of infant feeding for the first week and beyond, watch a video(s) about latching to the breast, review benefits of breastfeeding and cover any other questions as they arise. Resources, handouts, & snacks will be provided.

Breastfeeding Along The Way - Mom and Baby Breastfeeding
Education Session & Discussion Group
Topics for this class will vary (see below), a great way to inform yourself about what you can do to maintain breastfeeding long term. This class will be very discussion oriented and purpose to answer any questions you have. This class is for moms & babies only.
Includes:
- A 1+ hour breastfeeding education session in a group setting.
- We will review situations relevant to breastfeeding moms and babies. Resources & written information will be provided. Resources, handouts, & snacks will be provided.

I can schedule classes to accomodate private groups. This would be planned and organized by a Hostess. Options could include a "Mommy-Grammy" style class, a "Mommies & Daddies" style class, or a "Mommies only" style class.
